Control Rules and Packs that Effi runs for your workspace

Effi Automation
Effi Automation is where you control what Effi watches and runs for your workspace — background checks (Rules) and workflow bundles (Packs). Alerts and suggested goals show up in the Action Center. You can also ask Effi in chat for some on-demand reports.
Where to find it
Open Effi Automation in the sidebar.
The page has two tabs:
- Rules — checks you can turn on or off one by one
- Packs — workflow bundles you switch as a set
Available on Free and Pro. Some rules and pack workflows require Pro.
What you can do
- Browse rules grouped by area (receivables, expenses, cash planning, month-end, approvals)
- Enable or disable individual rules
- See each rule’s schedule, last run, and status
- Open the Packs tab to see your active pack and switch packs when more than one is offered
- Follow up on alerts and goals in the Action Center
How Rules and Packs differ
| Rules | Packs | |
|---|---|---|
| What they are | Checks, insights, and reports | Workflows (often with approval steps) |
| Control | Turn each rule on or off | Switch the whole pack |
| Where results show | Action Center, inbox, chat | Goals in Action Center or chat |
Typical workflows
Open automation settings
- Click Effi Automation in the sidebar
- Start on the Rules tab to review what Effi is checking
- Switch to Packs to see which workflow bundle is active
Mute a noisy rule
- Find the rule in its section (for example Receivables & invoicing)
- Turn the On/Off toggle off
- The rule stops running until you turn it back on
Act on something Effi found
- Open Action Center from the sidebar
- Review the alert or suggested goal
- Approve, dismiss, or open the related invoice or expense
Notes
- Schedule times are shown on each rule but cannot be changed in the app today
- Detailed thresholds (for example “alert after N days”) are not editable yet — only on or off
- If a rule is off, it will not create new alerts until you turn it back on
