Core Concepts

Workspaces, how invoices and expenses relate to projects and clients, AI goals, and visibility into activity

Understanding these ideas upfront makes the rest of the product easier to navigate.

Workspaces

Your workspace is the isolated environment where your business data lives: company profile, clients, projects, invoices, expenses, and AI activity. Plans and limits (features, quotas) apply per workspace. You manage company details and branding from Settings (Profile tab).

Invoices, expenses, and projects

  • Finance (/dashboard/finance) groups Invoices, Expenses, and Receipts — money in and money out.
  • Organization (/dashboard/organization) groups Projects and Clients — who you work with and how work is grouped.

You can link invoices to projects (and clients) so reporting and history stay tied to the right engagement. Expenses can similarly be part of your operational picture for a project or period. See Invoices, Expenses, Projects, and Clients for step-by-step guides.

Clients and relationships

Clients are the counterparties you bill and track. They connect to invoices and projects so you always know which work belongs to which relationship.

AI proposals vs approved actions

Effitrio’s agent does not silently apply risky changes in the background. Instead it creates goals: structured plans that can include steps such as drafting emails or validating expenses.

  • A proposal is what the system prepares (for example draft reminder emails or an action graph).
  • Approved actions are what actually runs after you explicitly approve at the goal gate (and, where relevant, approve individual drafts).

If a goal does not require approval, it may proceed automatically once queued — the chat will tell you when something requires your approval and point you to the AI Action Center.

Human-in-the-loop (HITL)

Human-in-the-loop means you stay in control for sensitive operations: goals can pause in Awaiting approval until you approve or reject. Some workflows also let you approve or unapprove individual drafts (for example reminder emails) before anything is sent.

Review and manage goals from /dashboard/action-center.

Activity and audit trail

  • Dashboard shows recent invoices, alerts (such as overdue invoices or expense spikes), and high-level stats — useful day-to-day activity, not a legal audit log.
  • Workspace audit logs for compliance-style review may be tier-dependent; operational admin tooling may expose detailed audit records separately from the main product docs.

For everyday “what changed?” context, combine dashboard alerts, goal history in the Action Center, and entity screens (invoice/expense detail).
